ISPA (International Spa Association)

CORE COMMITMENTS: “ISPA advances the spa industry by providing invaluable educational and networking opportunities, promoting the value of the spa experience and speaking as the authoritative voice to foster professionalism and growth”.

WHY WE LOVE: Despite the incredible size of the organization and its vast membership base, the team at ISPA has a wonderful way of cultivating meaningful relationships and building personal connections. Their annual conference & expo held every Fall in Las Vegas is not to be missed! Educational workshops and seminars by industry experts as well as special guest speakers make for 4-days of pure inspiration and knowledge infusion. Personal highlight – hearing 2013 contributor Blake Mycoskie (@toms, @blakemycoskie), founder of TOMS Shoes (www.toms.com), share his entrepreneurial story. I will never forget when he touched on the story of his Mom coming with him on one of the first ever TOM’s shoe drops in the rural villages of Argentina. Instead of just delivering the shoes, his mother got down on hands and knees and personally placed each shoe on each and every childs’ foot (In Argentina, children are not permitted in school without shoes and therefore without footware do not have access to education). Every TOM’s shoe drop now involves field team members actually hand placing the shoes on the childrens’ feet. Talk about building personal connections.

The International SPA Association is the source for all things spa with a door to a global network of peers. Becoming an ISPA member will help you grow both personally and professionally. On average, ISPA spa members' revenue is more than 2.5 times higher than nonmember spas and member spas have more than double the spa visits of nonmember spas.” Enough Said!
